Need Help with Landlord problem?
My landlord came to my apartment to tell me my childs black friend could not come to visit him, they dont like black people. I got angry and told them you have no right to say that. Now they have asked me to move. I have been late with this months rent because just like millions of other american, my money is the same but everything else is going up. I have been paying her 150 more a month on rent due to fact my older child needed a place to stay. My frig freezes my eggs. lettuce, celery, and any other vegatable i put in it. My kitchen water barley runs, I can use my broiler because the tray dont fit. When i asked her to repair the items. she began to rant because i was late now i want repairs. I am shaking in my boots because i have no one to help and no money.....what can i do.......yahoo community i trust you please

You are in a position of weakness with your rent late. Get your rent paid--no excuses. Your FIRST obligation is providing a home for yourself and children--pay your rent. Make your oldest contribute towards rent. Your landlord is breaking the law regarding your child's friend. She has no control over who you have in your home, as long as they're no danger to anyone else.
Do you have written lease? Are you a month-to-month tenant? May and June are good months to move, with many apartments available.
