Hurricane in Myanmar or New Orleans... which has recieved more White House attention?

Do you think we shouldn't help? At least 30,000 people were killed by the storm that struck Burma./Myanmar, but all the USA has (so far) offered is $250,000 in aid. I hope it becomes a lot more in aid that that.
I see "answers" all the time from people like cbjack who claim the people of New Orleans only "whine" and should stop complaining and "get on with life". Where are all these people cbjack & others claim are whining and/or doing nothing? Really! I live in New Orleans and I don't see them. All I see is a whole region that is working its butt off to recover from the worst natural disaster in American history and what we get INSTEAD of help is attitude (or worse) from people like cbjack.
