Why haven't Michael Jordan score more then 69 points?

Larry Bird and Magic Johnson once said Jordan will go down as basketball's greatest player. He has everything in one basketball player;

- Natural talent
- Wok ethic
- Dunks
- Moves
- Dribbling skills
- Passing
- Alley hoop
- Clutch shots

With all these skills, why haven't Michael Jordan scored more then 69 points in his career?

Wilt Champerlain scored 100 points and Kobe Bryant scored 81 points. With Jordan being so great and defensive players can't stop him also with Jordan being a scoring machine in his prime in the late 80's early 90's, why can't a player of Jordan stats score 100 points?

I swear, Michael Jordan fans have got to be the dumbest basketball fans in the world.

First off morons, Larry Bird NEVER said that Jordan would go down as the greatest player in history. He was NEVER one to compare players from different eras, and has always said that MAGIC was the best player he's ever faced.

And Magic has ALWAYS said that Bird was the best player he's ever seen, period!

Secondly, Jordan was one of the most selfish players ever, so I don't understand where you got the idea that he was this "great passer".

Believe me, if he was capable of scoring more points, he would have. Keep in mind, early in his career, he really had no outside shot to speak of. His points mostly came from driving to the basket and getting fouled.

Lastly, the 3 second rule was implemented in 1944. Wilt Chamberlain began his career in the 1959-60 season, so yes, there was the 3 second rule when he played, idiots!

And the fact that he was one of the tallest players of his time means nothing. Officials used to let opponents grab, hold, push, kick, whatever to Wilt in order to curb his dominance.

Let someone come within 5 feet of Jordan and they get called for a foul.

And Jordan, at 6'6", was one of the taller guards. He was always guarded by players 6'0" - 6'4" ....so it all evens out in the end. Nice try though.

To answer your question, Jordan's ability as a scorer was overrated. He scored alot of points because he took more shots than anyone. If he wanted to get more than 69 points, he would have had to ball-hog even more than usual.
