Pointe or ballet for pictures?
Im thinking of sending in an application for a summer intensive at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. we need to send in 3 pictures (instead of an audition). they need to be a headshot, Croisé Fourth in Relevé, and Attitude Derrière Effacé. it says on the form to take these pictures en pointe if appropriate. I have been on pointe for the past few years, but I am not the best at it. If i apply, should i go en pointe or in ballet slippers?

If you plan on using your pointe shoes during the program you should take your audition photographs in them. If you do not wear them the committee will assume you are not on pointe.
that said. Definitely, have your teacher present during the photo session. they can make sure you look your best.
