How do I restore suede shoes?
I recently bought some vintage black suede shoes on ebay, and they are more worn than I first realized. The suede is scuffed and worn in some places, leaving those spots a dull gray color. Is there a product I can use to restore the nap and color?
Check if the suede is thick enough to do this, also check if the suede should be a bit roghed structure (as opposed to smooth, waxed).
The old fashioned way is to use medium sandpaper. Be gentle and try a tiny bit first.
Once happy with the result, scrub the full surface, but be gentle enough not to cut trough stitches.
